Transforming a Federation Home: This historic Federation-style home in the southern suburbs presented unique challenges. The existing rear lean-to was structurally unsound and required demolition. To create a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, we addressed the sloping backyard through significant excavation.
Strategic Design for Privacy and Efficiency: Our design approach focused on minimizing excavation while ensuring maximum privacy from neighboring properties. This strategic planning resulted in a more efficient and cost-effective build. The rear awning creates a covered outdoor space but also creates privacy from the neighbours on the high side.
