The Enzo House is a testament to Noho Architecture’s ability to transform a narrow 4-meter-wide block into a two-bedroom, two-bathroom residence, tapering to 3.8 meters at the rear. The design includes two living spaces, a central courtyard, and a rear yard, all creatively arranged on a compact 90.6 square metre site.
An example of innovative compact home design. Nestled in the leafy inner west suburb of Sydney, this project demonstrates smart, affordable, and seamlessly integrated living that complements the historical charm of its surroundings.
Preserving the original front living room’s historical character, seamlessly blending old-world charm with simple living. The original bedroom has been thoughtfully converted into a spacious main bathroom with light flooding in from a skylight.
A standout feature of the Enzo House is the exposed original brick wall at the back of the cottage, uncovered by removing the original render. This unique design element extends inside and outside the house, creating a connection between the past and present, visible from the front door.
The Enzo House’s new addition includes a contemporary two-story structure, a dining nook, a kitchen, and a cozy TV space. Upstairs, two bedrooms await, each with its ensuite. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill these bedrooms with natural light, creating a serene and spacious atmosphere.
Functionality is a key feature of the Enzo House, with automation seamlessly integrated into the design. The laundry area is neatly tucked under the stairs, and the skylights are automated to adjust their opening based on internal air moisture levels.
The Enzo House exemplifies Noho Architecture‘s commitment to intelligent, budget-friendly design solutions that maintain style and comfort. It stands as a testament to the possibilities of affordable, innovative architecture.
